Collection: cod liver

    "Morue" is the other name for the cod/cod/bacalhau (Gadus morhua), a fish native to the cold seas of the Atlantic that lives at depths of up to 600 metres. This active predator, which feeds on crustaceans, molluscs and various fish, grows rapidly: by four years it reaches a weight of eight kilograms, and in less than ten years it can exceed 20 kg. The females are also known for their spectacular laying performance: an adult cod lays between 2.5 and 7 million eggs during the breeding season.
    Our cod liver comes from cod caught off Iceland. They come from responsible fishing that respects marine ecosystems.
    Cod liver makes an excellent aperitif bite on buttered croutons or blinis drizzled with a lemon drop. It can also be served in a salad or in verrines, as a carpaccio with a grapefruit or as foie gras from the sea, simply seasoned and fried with fresh pasta...
