A charming rosé from Provence that preserves minerality and is reminiscent of fennel, anise and violet. Provence Pure - everything you would expect!

"This elegant, sophisticated and refreshing rosé offers a smooth texture with vibrant notes of melon, tangerine peel, white cherry and rosewater, flanked by mineral undertones that culminate in a spicy finish.
Wine Spectator

The grapes come mostly from the cooler areas of the Haute Provence vineyards, where oaks and olive groves rooted in calcareous clay soils protect the vines and in some ways seem to nourish them. Here the vines do not suffer from heat waves and produce fully ripe grapes which, however, do not contain excessive amounts of sugar; the alcohol content remains moderate in the finished wines. The assemblage is complemented with grapes from the calcareous foothills of the Sainte-Victoire mountains, whose wines are always marked by liveliness and mineral persistence. Very fresh Cinsault grapes, planted just a few meters from the Mediterranean Sea in La Londe-les-Maures, are introduced to give a subtle salty and aniseed note. The grapes are picked at night between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. to bring in the fruit fresher, avoiding the risk of oxidation and thus better preserving the aromas. Grenache and Syrah are vinified together to blend their personality and qualities and we find that the reductive character of the Syrah is beautifully balanced with the oxidative character of the Grenache.

Goes well with: tapenade, cold cuts, salads, gazpachos, pizza. Artichokes, grilled aubergines, zucchini tian, asparagus risotto. Fish and shellfish, sea bass with fennel, squid. Beef carpaccio, meat skewers and grilled meat. Goat and sheep cheese. Clafoutis with cherries. Oriental, Asian cuisine.

Long-time friends Gregory Hecht & François Bannier founded Hecht & Bannier in 2001, a wine trading company dedicated to the most beautiful terroirs of the Mediterranean wine-growing region.

François and Gregory live in Provence with their family. Attracted by a gentle attitude to life and seduced by the light so loved by Cézanne, Van Gogh or Nicolas de Staël - the light of the sun spreading over the Mediterranean Sea - the two friends happily share a glass of rosé on a café terrace in Aix -en Provence.

Of course, the rosé wines have an important place in the production. H&B Provence rosé is refreshing, charming and floral at the same time - characteristics that define the unique and inimitable style of rosé wines from Provence.

H&B Provence rosé in a picnic basket between fields of lavender and olive trees or before siesta under a hundred-year-old plane tree, lulled by the singing of cicadas... H&B Provence rosé for a game of pétanque in the square of a small Provencal village... H&B Provence rosé in the warmth the long summer evenings by the pool, laughing and chatting with friends.
