    Le Porc Noir de Bigorre

    In 1981, the Noir de Bigorre breed of pig was almost extinct. It owes its revival to a handful of breeders in the Hautes Pyrénées region who, out of respect and attachment to the family and regional heritage, made it their goal to preserve the breed.

    The black pigs are bred in the Bigorre region in the heart of the Pyrenees according to strict regulations and are characterized by an incomparably melting, tasty meat with a bright red colour.

    Le Collectif Padouen is a coalition of producers and artisans from the Pyrenees. The collective is one of the few to deliberately work with the Porc Noir de Bigorre (black pig from the Pyrenees) variety, a somewhat slow and comparatively unproductive breed, but whose taste and quality far surpasses all other pigs!

    The Porc Noir de Bigorre comes from a traditional breed (≠ factory farming). It is fed with acorns and chestnuts, has plenty of exercise and enjoys the protection of a European Designation of Origin (DOP).

    Einzigartig!

    Man muß sich komplett von seinen bisherigen Erfahrungen mit Blutwurst aus deutscher Produktion lösen, das hier ist eine ganz neue Geschmackserfahrung. Deutsche Blutwurst ist ganz bestimmt nicht schlecht, aber nun einmal mit diesem Produkt nicht zu vergleichen. Eben "...perfekt für alle, die eigentlich keine Blutwurst mögen..." wie es in der Artikelbeschreibung heißt.

    Where do you ship to?

    Delivery is currently only in Germany and Austria.
