Sauces that contain eggs have a shorter best before date (best before date) because eggs are highly perishable and pose a higher risk of bacteria such as salmonella. Therefore, sauces such as mayonnaise or hollandaise should be stored in a cool place and consumed before the best-before date to avoid food poisoning.

A rouille is a creamy sauce, similar to mayonnaise, with lots of garlic and red pepper and/or saffron, which traditionally accompanies bouillabaisse and other fish soups and dishes.

The name Rouille (French: rust) refers to its yellow-red color. It is usually served on a slice of white bread rubbed with garlic (and often toasted).

Enjoy them with a fish soup, e.g. with any kind of fish soup , fresh jacket potatoes or simply with a piece of fresh bread.

Manufacturer

The Conserverie Artisanale Azaïs-Polito specializes in processing Mediterranean fish. This small factory is now the last Conserverie in the city of Sète, once the largest fishing port in the Mediterranean. It was founded in 1963 through the (love) merger of two long-established families, which also gave it its name. The Azaïs were famous fishermen, fishmongers and indeed even the founders of the fish market in Sète. The Polito were pasta manufacturers with Neapolitan roots. The founders Giovanni Polito and Geoges Azaïs still manage the company today, now in the fourth generation!

All products are handcrafted from carefully selected ingredients and prepared according to old original recipes and impress with their good taste.

Delivery times

Schöne Konsistenz, leichte Schärfe, angenehmer Geschmack. Schmeckt sehr gut einfach auf Brot oder als Dip. Ich kann sie mir aber auch zu gebratenem/gegrilltem Rind vorstellen.

Where do you ship to?

Delivery is currently only in Germany and Austria.

We currently only work with UPS or DHL. You will be asked to select a delivery method during the ordering process.

How long does it take until I receive my order?

That depends on where you are. Orders to Germany take 3 to 5 working days to arrive. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
