These hazelnuts, which are considered the best in the world among connoisseurs, are really something very special: they smell like the finest nougat and each one tastes like a small praline ... no comparison to other hazelnuts!
After the harvest, the Piedmontese hazelnut farmer José Noé sun-dries them in batches in the courtyard of his house, which can take several days.
Only then is the entire harvest stored and then cracked to order. The careful roasting takes place in very small batches of just 20 kilos over 30 minutes at a maximum of 150 °C.
This careful treatment intensifies the delicate aroma of the nuts, their bite becomes crunchy and crumbly and they almost completely lose their brown, bitter skin - what is left is removed by hand.
When the nuts have finally cooled down completely, they are vacuumed in portions and shipped immediately.
And when you open the bag at home, you will smell the fresh roasted aroma!
