In Arabic, "Zaatar" means something like "thyme". When one speaks of Zaatar, one means a traditional mixture of herbs and spices from the Levant: thyme of course, sesame, sumac, oregano, savory, but sometimes also cumin, coriander, marjoram...
Every country, every region, every village has its own recipe...
Zaatar is a Middle Eastern spice blend that is indispensable along the entire west coast of the Mediterranean.
This spice with a thousand and one flavors is very aromatic, with a hint of acidity and a salty note. To discover or rediscover!!!
For this product, the freshly caught sardines were processed by hand, first fried in sunflower oil and then canned in cold-pressed olive oil. On each can you will also find the name of the fishing port, the name of the ship that caught the sardines and the vintage.
