Finally a Champagne made from 100% Pinot Meunier!
This 100% Meunier champagne, made by young talent Yann Vadin, is complex, vinous and multi-faceted. An absolute "all-rounder" that can be enjoyed just as well as an "apéro" or as an accompaniment to food. It goes particularly well with white meat, white poultry or fish.
Its bouquet is finely mineral, refreshing and subtly fruity. On the palate one recognizes notes of ripe peaches and plums. The finish is long and velvety.
The Cuvée Renaissance is a so-called "Blanc de Noir" made from 100% Pinot Meunier. The cuvée is composed of 80% base wine from the 2020 vintage and 20% reserve wines from 2019. The grapes come from the 1er Cru Cumières site in the Vallée de la Marne.
With the Cuvée Renaissance, Yann Vadin presents his first champagne (not certified). In his work, he pays maximum attention to the work in the vineyard and only a minimum of interventions in the cellar. The base wines are neither filtered nor fined. This cuvée is "Ultra Brut", i.e. hardly dosed, with only 2 g/l.
