Scallops are small scallops and they are "a dime a dozen" in Galicia. These scallops from the Galician Rias, stewed in the typical Spanish Vieira sauce, are very tender and have a unique flavor. We recommend serving this great product as an aperitif or tapas, or heating it up with a portion of white rice.
They are one of the most popular classics in Spanish canned food and are among the finest mussels we know!
Once the mussels arrive at the factory, they are placed in a tank filled with sea water where they remain for 12 hours to rid themselves of sand.
They are then sorted by hand one by one according to size and washed and then steamed. These mussels come from the Rías de Arousa and Muros and are only collected from October to February, when they have the right consistency and size.
