Light and clear in taste with aromas of fruit compote and dried fruit, plums, cherries, almonds, cocoa and honey.
The Pommeau comes from Normandy and was developed by fruit growers shortly after the war.
It consists of freshly squeezed apple juice, which is prevented from fermenting by the addition of Calvados. The mixture is then stored in barriques for between 36 and 48 months.
The result is an intense apple aroma, a beautifully fruity sweetness in perfect balance with refreshing acidity.
Pommeau is drunk as an aperitif or digestif. But you can also drink it with certain meals or even use it to cook desserts and sauces.
