Freshly caught baby sardines from the bays of Galicia, marinated in tangy olive oil. Purchased at the port in the morning and processed immediately. At Ramón Peña's, everything is lovingly handcrafted – right down to packing the tin.
The small sardines are excellent for tapas and mixed appetizer platters, but also taste wonderful with pasta, on pizza, in salads... The tangy oil complements the delicate sardine without overpowering it.

Even the ancient Romans prized sardines, consuming them salted, marinated, or smoked. To this day, sardines remain a high-quality product, provided the quality and preparation methods are right. Thanks to their short lifespan, they absorb very few pollutants from the sea and boast a high content of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and trace elements. 100g of sardines (about 8 fish) contain 40% of the recommended daily intake of calcium and 100% of the vitamin D necessary for absorbing these trace elements.
