The fresh churned butter and the high proportion of southern French almonds give it its melting consistency.
A delight on its own, but also briefly warmed in the oven with a fruit coulis or a scoop of ice cream – and you have a truly special dessert!
Remove from the pan: run a knife along the edges and turn the cake out onto a plate. Remove the baking paper and you're done!
