Cheese Berlin 2016 in Markthalle Neun and a preliminary spontaneous tasting

On Sunday it's that time again: with Cheese Berlin, the most important, largest, most colorful, most exciting cheese event of the year is coming to Kreuzberg's Markthalle Neun - and of course we'll be there again!

We will be supported at our stand this year by Cristiano Guffanti from Guffanti in Italy (we get the Taleggio, Pecorino della Maremma and Salva Cremasco from him, for example), and by Marc Birkett from Paccard in Savoy (he is responsible for the Abondance delicacies , Beaufort and Reblochon!) and by our former employee Marin Lefebvre, who represents his parents' winery, Domaine Lefebvre-d'Anselme, and serves his own Rhône wines.

And because we like to lay it on thick, we have a few selected wheels from the Jamei Laibspeis cheese dairy in the Allgäu as a very special treat this year - some of them even exclusive! This time there is the “Jamei mountain cheese 18 months” which is produced by the Fritzenhaus mountain cheese dairy especially for Jamei and our good old friend, the Mängisch – this time matured for a full 30 months!
We would be delighted if you visited us at our stand – the experience is definitely worth the short trip!

And for everyone who can't make it to the market hall on Sunday, we have planned a small spontaneous tasting on Saturday - as a kick-off, so to speak. Joe Schneider visits us and lets us taste his fantastic raw milk sticheton! The cheese-crazy American lives and works in Great Britain, where he produces the original Stichelton – the original Stilton, so to speak – with a lot of love and dedication. Let him tell you everything you always wanted to know about blue cheese and Stichelton in particular and let his passion infect you. We are looking forward to your visit!
