On Sunday it's that time again: Cheese Berlin, the most important, largest, most colorful, most exciting cheese event of the year, is coming to Kreuzberg's Markthalle Neun - and of course we'll be there again!
We will be supported at our stand this year by Cristiano Guffanti from Guffanti in Italy (from whom we source, for example, Taleggio, Pecorino della Maremma and Salva Cremasco), by Marc Birkett from Paccard in Savoy (he is responsible for the delicacies Abondance, Beaufort and Reblochon!) and by our former employee Marin Lefebvre, who represents his parents' winery, the Domaine Lefebvre-d'Anselme, and serves his own Rhône wines.
And because we like to go all out, we've once again included a few select loaves from the Jamei Laibspeis cheese dairy in the Allgäu region as a very special treat this year – some of them even exclusive! This time, we're featuring the "Jamei Mountain Cheese 18 Months," produced especially for Jamei by the Fritzenhaus mountain cheese dairy, and our good old friend, the Mängisch – this time aged for a full 30 months!

And for those who can't make it to the market hall on Sunday, we've planned a small impromptu tasting on Saturday—as a kind of kickoff. Joe Schneider will be visiting us , offering a taste of his fantastic raw milk Stichelton! This cheese-mad American lives and works in Great Britain, where he lovingly and devotedly produces the original Stichelton—the original Stilton, so to speak. Let him tell you everything you've always wanted to know about blue cheese and Stichelton in particular, and let his passion infect you. We look forward to your visit!
