Everyone knows the famous French Puy lentils ... but what about their green sisters, the lentilles vertes du Berry, with their blonde cousins (lentilles blondes) or even the wonderful white beans from Tarbes in southern France (Haricots Tarbais) with a protected origin ?
We have them all and we love them all, because these little all-rounders are healthy and delicious and can do much more than just winter stews - they really shine in summer salads!
The Food and Agriculture Organization has also recognized their potential and declared 2016 the year of the legumes. We think that's a very wise decision and we're celebrating right away. Of course, there is also the right wine accompaniment who should not be missing under any circumstances, of course you are!
