The Vignobles Berthier LES ORIGINALS CHENIN Blanc 2023 is a remarkable white wine from the Loire region, more precisely from Saumur. The grape variety used, Chenin Blanc, also known as Pinot de la Loire, is deeply rooted in the history of the region and is traditionally grown on the slopes of the Loire Valley.
This wine, made from 100% Chenin Blanc, thrives on a terroir of limestone and clay. It is ideal as an accompaniment to fish and seafood or as an aperitif in convivial company. The wine should be served at a temperature between 10 and 12°C and should ideally be enjoyed within two to three years.
This wine, which bears the Terra Vitis label, is a testament to the sustainable and environmentally friendly cultivation methods of the winemakers Clément and Florian Berthier. The grapes are harvested by hand in October to ensure their optimal ripeness. The result is a wine of remarkable freshness and liveliness, which captivates with its aromas of mandarin, grapefruit and pear. The winemakers themselves describe it as bold, elegant and characteristic of its origins.
The winemaking process begins with a gentle pressing of the grapes, followed by a 36-hour rest period for the juice. Alcoholic fermentation then begins naturally at a controlled temperature. The wine then ages on the lees for around six months before being bottled.
With its combination of tradition and modern wine technology, the Vignobles Berthier LES ORIGINALS CHENIN Blanc 2023 embodies the essence of the Loire wine region and promises an authentic taste experience.
