White wine from old vineyards around 80 years old, organically grown, with minimal intervention in the cellar. Aged for 12 months in barrels and cement tanks.
Wine with a complex and intense bouquet, in which notes of flowers and fresh tropical fruits mix with fresh aromatic herbs. The whole is supported by subtle woody notes.
In the mouth the wine is fat and full, with excellent acidity and fantastic minerality, revealing an intense, very harmonious and balanced palate that finishes very long and persistent.
It should be served slightly chilled (10-12°C) as an accompaniment to intensely spiced dishes.
Origin: The vineyards are located in the Cima-Corgo (Alijó) sub-region at an average altitude of 500-600 m on slate and granite soils.
Grape varieties: Hand-picked grapes from old vineyards (over 70 years old), with a wide variety of native grape varieties (more than 15), highlighting Viosinho, Gouveio and Rabigato.
Vinification and aging: . Grapes are harvested in September. 24 hours of cold pelicular maceration (part of the final blend), without the addition of sulphites. Fermentation in new and used French oak and Portuguese chestnut barrels, with a proportion of about 30% new wood, followed by 12 months of aging on the lees.
