This unique Vinho Verde is part of the innovative "Nat Cool" project, launched by Dirk Niepoort.

With a hands-off approach, Márcio Lopes emphasizes the authentic flavor of Loureiro grapes, cultivated on granitic soils in the Cávado and Lima subregions.

This method allows the wines to preserve their natural aromas and characteristics, a philosophy that is underpinned by the Nat Cool concept with its eight basic rules - which paradoxically underline that there are no rules.

The wines should have less alcohol, be authentic and organic, but also remain affordable, always presented in unusual liter bottles that are intended to appeal to a relaxed and modern target group.

This Vinho Verde Loureiro Nat Cool 2022 presents a palette of flavors and aromas, including white peach, green apple and citrus notes, paired with a taste of honeydew melon, grapefruit and floral notes.

On the palate, it is characterized by an invigorating acidity and a distinctive saltiness, which makes it a flexible accompaniment to various dishes, not unlike a bitter beer.
