Quevedo's Crusted Port is an outstanding old-school port wine, created through the art of blending young ports and close to the style of a vintage port.
Instead of using a single vintage, this Crusted Port combines two exquisite vintages: 50% from 2017 and 50% from 2018.
Bottling took place in 2020, followed by three years of aging in the Quevedo cellars in São João da Pesqueira before being released for tasting.
This port wine presents itself in a deep, intense cherry red color, which already indicates its quality.
The bouquet of the Crusted Port seduces the senses with a delightful palette of aromas. Dominant notes of plums, raisins and figs create a rich and fruity fragrance profile, complemented by a subtle spice of black pepper, which gives the wine additional depth.
On the palate, this Crusted Port impresses with its robust structure and firm, rich tannins that offer a full-bodied mouthfeel and envelop the palate. The rich texture of this wine ensures a fulfilling taste experience that perfectly showcases the harmonious aromas of plums, raisins and figs. The soft, long finish is characterized by a slightly dry character that highlights the complexity and balance of the wine.
