Analogue: Embodies traditional methods and authenticity
Analogue captures the essence of the winery's three predominant grape varieties: Arinto, Avesso, and Fernão Pires. Together, they create a balanced, fresh wine with light floral notes.
"Analogue" refers to traditional, non-digital recording technology – similar to traditional winemaking with minimal intervention!
Aromatic notes of white stone fruits such as peach, apricot, and nectarine, accompanied by heather and candied white plums. The nose is rounded off by a delicate floral lift of jasmine and acacia blossoms. On the palate, the wine presents itself fresh yet textured, with a balanced interplay of juicy fruit and fine minerality reminiscent of wet granite.
The grapes were pressed by foot in old "lagares" (open granite basins) and completed fermentation in the Quinta's old cement tanks.
The wine names of RPM Wines & Spirits—Analogue, Looper, Equalizer, Reverb, and Overdub—form a fascinating connection between the winery and the world of music. These names are all terms from audio and music production and reflect a well-thought-out philosophy.
The winery's name itself—RPM, an acronym for founders Ricardo Moreira, José Roseira, and Daniel Pires—creates a clever ambiguity, as RPM in music stands for "Revolutions Per Minute," the rotational speed of records. This musical connection is consistently continued in the wine names.
The wines represent different aspects of sound processing.
