The "Madeira Single Cask Colheita Boal Vinha da Torre 2007" is a unique wine from Madeira, made from Boal grapes, some of which were harvested early to give the wine additional freshness and vitality.
It matured in used barriques at moderate temperatures and was bottled in 1,109 bottles after 10 years.
This wine comes from a special vineyard, Vinha da Torre, traditionally known for its Boal grapes.
It is a tribute to João dos Reis and his family as well as to the friendship with the Barbeito family.
The wine is characterized by a complex aromatic profile, ranging from roasted almonds, salted caramel and smoked wood to cigar box, orange marmalade and hazelnut brittle.
In terms of taste, it offers a fine spiciness with notes of candied ginger and cardamom, complemented by nuances of nuts and dried mirabelle plums.
Additionally, it has a fresh and floral aroma with accents of pine, apricot, ripe citrus, caramel and candied fruit.
The wine is fresh and spicy with a balanced acidity, ideal as a digestif, with dried fruits and cheese, best served at 13/14ºC.
