Constantino Ramos, born in 1983 in Vouzela, is an up-and-coming winemaker in the Vinho Verde sub-region of Monção e Melgaço. After studying pharmacy, he moved into the wine industry, completed a degree in oenology and gained nine years of experience with Anselmo Mendes.

In 2016, Ramos founded his own wine project, to which he has devoted himself full-time since 2022. He focuses on high-altitude plots (300-400 m) with old vines of native varieties. His cultivation methods are close to nature and minimalist, without official certification.

Ramos' wine range includes:
1. Affluente Alvarinho: Early harvested, mineral, aged in old French oak barrels.
2. Zafirah: Red blend of local varieties, briefly macerated.
3. JUCA: Top red wine from a 100-year-old vineyard.
4. Juca Tinto: Similar to Zafirah, but macerated for longer.
5. Juca Branco: Made from Loureiro grapes, aged in steel.

Its vineyards are located mainly in the Vale do Mouro in Monção on granite soils, spread over four plots: Vinha da Rocha, Vinha de Aldeia, Codeçal and Vinha da Raposa.

Ramos' winemaking is characterized by early harvest, natural fermentation and moderate temperature control. He places emphasis on fresh white wines and careful handling of red wines. His philosophy combines tradition with modern techniques to produce authentic wines that respect the terroir.

Particularly notable is Ramos' focus on red wines, inspired by the historical importance of red Vinho Verde. He is committed to preserving old red vines and planting new vineyards with traditional red varieties to highlight the region's quality potential in red wines.
