If you like vegetables and fruit, this knife is perfect for you. The micro-serrated blade reliably cuts kiwis, tomatoes and sausages.
The 10 cm long blade impresses with its high-quality sharpness and good resistance to corrosion. The beechwood handle is varnished, which makes it difficult for stains and water to stick to it.
- Blade length: 10 cm
- Martensitic stainless steel: hardness 55-57 HRC. Origin from Europe.
The stainless steel of the OPINEL blades is an optimized grade that guarantees both high corrosion resistance and high mechanical performance.
The blade has excellent sharpness and high abrasion resistance (wear resistance), which allows it to withstand regular contact with hard materials such as ceramic before requiring resharpening. Stainless steel has the advantage of not requiring any special maintenance under normal conditions of use, unlike carbon steel. However, it can reach its limits when it comes into contact with an aggressive environment (acid, salt water, detergents...) for a long time. - Handle: Beech is the most commonly used wood for making Opinel knife handles. Beech wood comes from France, is hard, durable and easy to work with. It has a homogeneous appearance and the light color varies from yellowish to pink. The wood can be recognized by the many small, dark streaks. The handle has been varnished to provide better protection against moisture and dirt.
