As you will have noticed, as a result of our repeated travels and the fantastic wines we have discovered, our otherwise very French wine range has been expanded to include some excellent, handpicked Portuguese wines.
In order to present them to you in an appropriate setting, we are organizing
Friday, October 16 (2 p.m. to 8 p.m.) and am
Saturday, October 17 (12 p.m. - 4 p.m.)
a Festa Portuguesa!
This weekend we welcome three up-and-coming young winemakers from Portugal:
Rita Marquez Ferreira from Conceito Winery (Douro Alto) and Luis Vegas Louro from Adega do Monte Branco (Alentejo) will be pouring their wines on both days; and António Madeira (Dão), will be there on Saturday!
All three represent the new generation of winemakers in Portugal: They have traveled far and wide (Bordeaux, California, New Zealand, South Africa) and have brought the knowledge and techniques they have gained back home with them and developed them further. And that without neglecting the cultivation of our own traditions in the vineyard and cellar. Above all, without sacrificing the almost unbelievable variety of autochthonous Portuguese grape varieties.
During an open wine tasting, you can taste for yourself that an extremely exciting range of wines has developed from this dynamic:
More than 10 different wines are on the tasting list, including those from Quinta do Monte Travesso , Quinta do Judeu and Quinta do Teamonde.
The culinary basis is fresh petiscos from Anabela Campos-Neves, who, with her restaurant anabela's Kitchen , has been proving for decades that Portuguese cuisine has much more to offer than just cod.
We are already looking forward to an enjoyable exchange in a relaxed setting and cordially invite you and your companions. Registration is not required, admission is free.
