This elegant and complex single-vintage port was bottled in 2022 and is ready to drink now. However, it has the potential to age in the bottle and could benefit from another 10 or 15 years to gain further complexity.
On the palate: Full of red fruit, very youthful, the tannins are firm. The long finish reveals floral notes with a hint of spice and passion fruit.
Winegrowing in this steep hillside area is mostly done on terraces, which drastically minimizes the use of mechanical cultivation methods.
Our commitment to nature led us to begin converting to near-natural farming methods in 2012. Today, approximately 30% of our land has been converted, and the remaining areas are farmed using responsible and sustainable methods.

Port wine customer:
Ruby is the color of all red wines when they are made. Ruby Port has a red color, predominant aromas of red fruits, and a full body on the palate. It is bottled while young to preserve its red color and fresh aromas before oxidation. It may age in oak, but if so, only for a short time, no more than a few years, and almost always in large-capacity oak casks to minimize the influence of oxygen during maturation. The ruby style varies according to color intensity, aroma complexity, and body. From less to more, here is the order:
- Ruby: a blend of port wine aged approximately three years.
- Reserve Ruby: a blend of port wine aged approximately six years.
- Late Bottled Vintage (LBV): a single harvest that is bottled 4 to 6 years after the harvest.
- Crusted: Vintage Port that is bottled 2 to 5 years after the grape harvest and stored in the cellar for at least three years to form a crust inside the bottle.
- Vintage: a harvest that is bottled 2 years after the harvest.
