The flagship of Quinta do Mouro, a multi-layered wine with enormous potential!
The Quinta do Mouro 2019 is a cuvée of Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The robe is deep red to aubergine, the nose inky and floral, slightly fleshy, with notes of warm earth, quince, blackcurrant and licorice.
These notes are also found on the palate, where the wine appears robust and the rich, ripe and powerful tannins unfold.
Dry, but not bone-dry, with a beautiful velvet texture. Complex with plenty of structure and balance, with a long finish and an interesting mineral (slate) note.
The Quinta do Mouro 2019 was partially destemmed and the grapes were traditionally trodden by foot, then aged for 14 months in French and Portuguese 300-liter oak barrels, 50% of which were new.
