In color, it presents a radiant golden yellow that reflects the sun of the vintage. The nose reveals a complex, profound bouquet. Flinty notes merge with the crisp freshness of the Sauvignon, underpinned by subtle citrus aromas and a fascinating minerality.
On the palate, a powerful yet elegant tasting experience unfolds. The opening is direct and taut, carried by an impressive minerality. Fine tannins and a lingering saline note give the wine structure and complexity. Despite its power, it retains remarkable freshness and finesse in the long-lasting finish.
The grapes for this exquisite wine come from a special plot in Saint-Père, where the vines are rooted in Cretaceous flint-rich clay soil. This unique soil composition gives the wine its characteristic flinty note. Gentle pressing and controlled fermentation at 15-18°C preserve the authenticity of the terroir. The wine then ages on the lees for several months before being bottled in the spring.
Enjoy this wine at 10-12°C. It pairs excellently with refined dishes such as sushi, tuna carpaccio, or distinctive cheeses. Although it impresses already now, it has the potential to age for 2-6 years, gaining further complexity in the process.
