Rue Traversette (which means something like “Side Street”) is a small, traditional business based in the beautiful Languedoc region of southern France, picturesquely situated between two fields, three hills and the Mediterranean. Here, halfway between Béziers and Montpellier, in Saint André de Sangonis (in the Hérault department), Stéphane Strobl fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening his vegetable cannery: to bring the pure taste of fresh produce to the world, one jar at a time.

Founder Stéphane and his team are united by their love of cooking and eating together. They peel, chop and cook together… and are constantly experimenting with new combinations of fruit, vegetables, spices and edible plants. And so, in the kitchen and adjoining rooms of Rue Traversette, everything the plant world has to offer that is good and beautiful has been preserved in jars since 2005. The one main ingredient that must never be missing: creativity!

The range includes vegetables, fruit and spices – imaginatively transformed into original vinaigrettes, irresistible vegetable creams, fabulous mustard varieties… a combination of intense and original flavors. A colorful and diverse range of products, sun-drenched and typically southern French, ideal for aperitifs or as an accompaniment to a good meal with friends.
