This can holds a true treasure from the Galician Rías: Large mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis), which have been grown to perfection in the nutrient-rich waters of the Ría de Arosa.
Real Conservera Española processes this seafood according to a centuries-old tradition.
Each mussel is hand-cleaned while fresh, briefly fried in olive oil to firm up its texture, and then lovingly placed by hand into the can.
The final touch is the legendary Escabeche marinade: A homemade composition of olive oil, vinegar, paprika, bay leaf, and fine spices.
The result is mussels of impressive size (Gigantes), tender bite, and an intense red color. An award-winning delicacy that is regularly selected among the Top 10 Canned Foods in the World.
