Conceito's Fine Ruby represents the winery's base wine and is a delightful blend of traditional Douro grapes, including Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Rufete and more than 20 other varieties.

It is made from grapes from old vines that are an impressive 80 years old. The winemaking combines traditional granite fermentation warehouses with mechanical and modern techniques to ensure quality and precision.

This fine ruby ​​red port wine presents itself with an intense ruby ​​red color and youthful violet reflections. The aroma is full-bodied and fruity, with intense notes of ripe red berries such as cherries, blackcurrants and raspberries, accompanied by subtle spice nuances such as cinnamon and cloves. On the palate it is fruity and youthful, with pleasant sweetness, freshness and a slight acidity for a balanced structure. The fruity notes of red berries are in the foreground and are complemented by spicy undertones.

This Fine Ruby Port should be enjoyed young to fully showcase its fresh and fruity character. Serve it at 18 degrees Celsius. It is versatile and fits perfectly as an aperitif or as a delicious end to meals. It goes particularly well with chocolate desserts, fruit cakes and mature cheeses.

Anyone who is interested in the wines from the Douro Valley cannot ignore Rita Marques Ferreira. She is currently one of the most highly traded new generation winemakers in this region. Their wines regularly receive the best ratings from international wine critics.

Rita's family has been growing wine in the upper Douro for several generations. She learned her craft in Bordeaux and then worked as a “flying winemaker” in New Zealand and South Africa. Now she has returned to her roots and holds the scepter of the winery firmly in her hand.
An impressive 85 hectares of vineyards are cultivated by hand at an altitude of 500 meters. The approach is generally very close to nature and consciously avoids the use of herbicides and systemic plant protection products.
She sells part of the harvest to other wineries. Every year she selects the best vineyards for her own winery and produces elegant, fresh wines with lots of freshness and minerality. Everything is well thought out because Rita has a concept. Hence the name: Conceito.
