Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) is a small, perennial shrub in the Lamiaceae family, native to the arid areas of the Mediterranean.

Used as a spice in food since Roman times, this fine herb is particularly appreciated in Provencal cuisine.

It goes wonderfully with tomatoes and zucchini, pasta, cottage cheese or goat cheese, soups, poultry and eggs. Thyme also gives a lot of flavor to grilled or roasted meat in the oven or on the grill.

Thyme forms the bouquet garni (along with a few sprigs of parsley and a sprig of bay leaf) that flavor many culinary preparations.

Thyme is a component of the famous herbal mixture "Herbes de Provence"

Manufacturer

In 1947, Gaston and Lydie Telme set up a butcher's shop in the small town of Oraison in Provence, selling home-made pies, saucissons and ham, which soon became very popular throughout the region.

In 1981, the daughter Jeanine Nervi took over the family business and revolutionized production by experimenting with new spices and flavors. Under her leadership, exciting, tasty and locally typical variants are created with pastis, lavender, olives, almonds...

In 2007, Solange Nervi took over the family business in the third generation and renamed it Maison Telme. She modernizes the production facility in accordance with European standards and expands the customer base. Maison Telme's pies and terrines are now sold throughout Europe, as far away as Russia and Japan.

Nonetheless, Maison Telme still works the way it did in the days of the company's founders, Gaston and Lydie - the terrines are filled into their glasses by hand and with a fork - and the quality of the products is always the top priority.

Manufacturer's address: Maison Telme, 3 Espace St.Pierre, 04310 Peyruis, France

Saffron is a rare and high-quality spice that is carefully cultivated every three years to guarantee an intense red color, rich aroma and exceptional taste.
The harvest takes place before sunrise and the precious pistils are harvested by hand and gently dried.
Thanks to rigorous cultivation and control methods, Spigol saffron is a valuable, exquisite and highly selected product.
In the kitchen, saffron is indispensable in bouillabaisse, fish soup or risotto and should be added at the end of the cooking time to preserve its rare and unique taste.
