This cuvée represents Roussillon and its wealth in the culture of its land and sea people, farmers and fishermen. "La Bette" is the fishing boat unique on the Catalan Mediterranean coasts.

Translucent garnet red, slightly violet.

Fresh, invigorating, with wild black fruits, a little hint of yoghurt and spices.

Round, supple, intense fruit (blackcurrant), with a juicy side.

Gourmand, of great drinkability, the finish is slightly firm but without harshness, on blackcurrant and spices. With aeration fuller, more intense, tastier.

In combination with grilled meat, piquillos, leg of lamb...

Manufacturer

In less than ten years, Jeff Carrel, based in the heart of the Corbières, has succeeded in establishing a series of wines that define Languedoc Roussillon.

The main quality of Jeff Carrel's wines is their drinkability, their roundness, it's dripping, it's good, it's smiling, it's fun and lustful, it's good for morale and every time you enjoy... for little money.

The Producer: Jeff Carrel advises winemakers to improve their identity and visibility. He is also a dealer and vinifies wines under his name. He forged his experience as a winemaker on the Loire, in Alsace, in the Languedoc, at Mondavi in the USA and at Mas Daumas Gassac. Nice recognition in France and the USA.

Although Jeff Carrel is madly in love with wine, he does not come from the winemaking world nor does he have any family history in the field; but his passion for grapes led him to give up everything to study oenology and travel around France making wine in regions such as the Loire, Alsace and Languedoc. Eventually he ended up in Roussillon, armed practically only with his backpack, settled there and started a professional career that today, in addition to making his own wines, also includes him as a consultant for other cellars and winemakers in regions such as Bordeaux, Burgundy, Beaujolais and even priory led.

He thought of building a new winery in the Côtes du Roussillon-Languedoc region; however, this was a very expensive option and not in line with his philosophy, so he finally decided to renovate an old winery and turn it into something special where he could work freely. In the Corbières region, the history of French wine, Jeff Carrell found an ancient "domain" that seemed to fit his quest and while fitting 30 stainless steel tanks into a building that dates back to 1857 was not easy, the Maison finally emerged in 2017 Carrel in Saint-Laurent de la Cabrerisse, a beautiful village between sea and mountains and the ideal place where Jeff and his team can let their creativity run free. Since then it seems that nothing and nobody can stop the meteoric career of Jeff Carrel and his wines, which are already known worldwide and have a reputation for delighting everyone who tastes them.
